Young climbers' gathering in the Sarca Valley: a Rock Experience success!
The event, organized by the CAAI Academic Group in the Sarca Valley and sponsored by Rock Experience, was a resounding success. It attracted young climbers between the ages of 18 and 28. The goal, as mountain guide Marco Furlani explains, was to bring together new and old generations of climbers and share their passion for the sport. And that goal was certainly achieved, thanks to a program packed with practical and theoretical sessions.
Three days of climbing, sharing and learning
The gathering took place over three days, divided into climbing sessions on historic routes in the Sarca Valley, such as "Il Missile" and "Scirocco", and moments of theoretical study.
An opportunity to learn about the history and evolution of climbing in the Sarca Valley.
Attendance was high, and the comments from the young people were overwhelmingly positive. As Marco Furlani emphasizes, this experience was a true "laboratory" for young people to learn about the development of mountaineering in the Sarca Valley, with its people, techniques, and equipment. An evolution that only those who have experienced it can recount and pass on to future generations.
An event to be repeated with the support of Rock Experience
The success of this gathering bodes well for the future. The idea is to repeat it in the coming years, to give even more young people the opportunity to explore climbing and learn about its rich history and tradition. Rock Experience will continue to enthusiastically support this initiative, confirming its commitment to promoting climbing and enhancing the local area.
