Let's jump back ten years. When Michele Frigerio, our company's founder and a leading expert in outdoor apparel, began thinking about a clothing brand that reflected his fascination with the mountains and his connection to the rock he grew up on, he certainly never imagined that idea would become such an ambitious project. However, as sometimes happens in this world, a simple dream can give birth to a collection that meets the needs of those who cultivate their passion for the mountains. And so Rock Experience was born, the brand dedicated to outfitting young climbers, expert mountaineers, ambitious trail runners, and cheerful hikers.
Michele was driven, first and foremost, by the desire to create a company that expressed his strong connection to his hometown, and that would promote and support Lecco's excellence . This ambition translated into a commitment to collaborate with two historic mountaineering groups that have shaped Lecco's profound mountaineering tradition: the Ragni di Lecco and the Gamma Group.
The partnership with the Ragni di Lecco , established several years ago to support the mountaineering group on expeditions outside Europe, has allowed for increased expertise transfer within the company. From sponsoring projects abroad, the relationship with the renowned mountaineering group has gradually strengthened, culminating in the creation of Ground Up, a clothing collection developed in collaboration with some of the world's top climbers, who designed and then personally tested the garments in the mountains around Lecco.
More recently, Rock Experience has inaugurated a new partnership with the Gamma mountaineering group , a historic association involved in numerous mountaineering projects, known for having started an intense training activity with climbing courses at various levels and the maintenance of some via ferratas on the Resegone.
The project of teaming up with these outstanding figures from the Lecco area responds to a shared desire to improve, harness the positive energy of their homeland, and work together based on shared values. Just like in the mountains, on a roped team .
